Citywest Hotel Wedding Story

Today I photographed Jakki and Ed’s wedding at the Citywest hotel in Dublin. It’s always a pleasure to work for such a vibrant, pleasant couple.

Preparations

The day started at the hotel where the girls were getting ready. With loads of laughs and some champagne flowing the scene was set for some great moments to capture.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the parish of the Immaculate Conception in Clondalkin. I love this church, being so local and lovely interiors it’s always a pleasure to photograph here.

During 1 of Ireland’s heatwave weekends, the guests were treated to what Ireland has to offer. Most of the guest being from the UK to celebrate with Jakki & Ed had a blast and really got to see what Ireland can offer.

Reception

We headed to the hotel and got the photo shoot out of the way so they could enjoy more of their day. Bridal party shots were taken on the golf course and the couple shoot nice and short on the grounds, before heading up to the Bridal suite for some more photos. It was an ideal setting to use some off camera flash, as the room being a little darker, with some backlighting from the windows, this made for some really interesting photos.

I stayed till the first dance and mingled with guests during the dinner.
