Kind Words from Couples

"We chose Viv to take care of our wedding photography, and it was the best choice we could have made. He has a very professional yet friendly manner which ensures everyone around him is at ease.
Viv has great ideas for shots that turned out beautiful and our special day captured in full. What's different about Viv is that he really captures the emotions of guests, the smiles and looks that we didn't see on the day. Viv was almost invisible during the ceremony and at the venue. He made the wedding party shoot short and enjoyable, again something very important in terms of not missing the reception. Viv is skilled enough to capture the shots that you want in a short space of time. We would highly recommend Viv for wedding photography."

Vicky & Ferghal, Malahide

"We hired Viv as our wedding photographer in Ireland after interviews with possible candidates. After seeing his wedding portfolio, he seemed to be an artist in the field as well as a most pleasant person. We're impressed with what he accomplished. He captured and highlighted our precious moments in the most creative ways. On the wedding day, he was clearly in charge of the situation as a wedding photographer. We trusted him and he delivered! His wedding photography has given us even more than we hoped for and is with us till the end. He followed through with all agreements made and was dependable, positive, and helpful throughout the planning process, always interested in our opinions and wishes. He is, indeed, highly recommended!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: We love your work and would like to set up a meeting to discuss our options, how do we go about this?
A: Drop me an email: [email protected] or text/Whatsapp/call me: +353 86 403 4694

Q: We live abroad/are very busy and cannot meet with you in person?
A: That’s no problem. Many of my clients come from abroad for their weddings in Ireland. In these cases, we communicate through Zoom or FaceTime with clients to have an online meeting.

Q: What is your wedding photography style?
A: I use a photojournalism approach to capture the wedding day as it happens naturally. During the Couple’s session, I get them to interact and chat while I capture photos from a distance.

Q: How long is the photo session?
A: I keep that to a minimum, usually around 30minutes so couples can get back to their guest and enjoy their day.

Q: Do you require a shot list of photos we would like?
A: I recommend sending on a shortlist of your must-have photos that are out of the ordinary such as a relative or friend from abroad that you can’t miss having a photo with, or you have a surprise planned for the day that can be classified as an unmissable moment.

Q: Do you cover destination weddings?
A: Absolutely!! I have covered weddings all over Ireland and destination weddings in France, South Africa, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, and the UK to name a few.

Q: What if you have never photographed our Wedding Venue before?
A: If I have not yet been to a Reception venue before, I do my research online to see what is available to me. I get to the venue early to scout locations I’d like to use on the day for the photo sessions. I find doing this on the day gives me an accurate assessment of the weather and other factors like whether the grass is not waterlogged. All wedding venues are the same in regard to finding locations for the shots I have in mind.

Q: When do we get to see our wedding photos?
A: Once all the editing has been done, within 2-4 weeks from the wedding day I have them up on your personal gallery. In the busy season, it can take a week or 2 longer. You’ll receive an email with all the info on how to log in to your gallery to share it with friends and family. I have the disc ready at the same time when the gallery goes live.

Q: Are you an Insured Wedding Photographer?
A: Yes I am. Many Wedding Venues require professionals to carry insurance when working there for public liability. I can provide this on request from the venue.

Q: How can we reserve our date with you & how far in advance?
A: Once the booking deposit clears, you secure your date. The booking form link gets emailed to you to get all your details of the day. It’s better to secure your date early. The wedding industry is busy in Ireland, with bookings coming in much earlier these.

Q: How much to reserve the date with you?
A: A deposit of €200 secures the booking.

Q: Do you charge travel fees and how far do you travel?
A: Generally, I don’t charge for travel. However, if the wedding is over 2 hours drive away I ask for compensation for fuel and possibly needing to stay over the night.

Q: Will you be shooting my wedding?
A: Absolutely I am the only wedding photographer. If you book me, you get me.

Q: What if you fall ill or are unable to cover our wedding?
If something happens that is beyond my control and cannot cover the wedding, I have a number of trusted photographers I call on. I try to keep our styles as close as possible. I will notify you and consult with you regarding any changes.

Q: Do you work alone, what if we need a second photographer?
A: For most of the weddings covered I work alone. If you need a second photographer, I have a number of wedding photographers in Ireland who help me out with this. Extra charges apply.

Q: Are our photos copyright-free? What rights do I have to digital photos?
A: You can print and share your photos freely without any restrictions.

Q: Do you provide the RAW files from my engagement session and/or wedding day?
A: I provide fully edited photographs (high-quality JPEG Images ) that are ready to print and share. RAW files are unprocessed images that still require a lot of editing (usually weeks) and are therefore not included in standard photography packages.

Q: Can I add a wedding album at a later date if we only choose the digital package?
A: Yes, absolutely. You can purchase an album later on, here is more information: View Wedding Albums.

Q: Do we get to view the album design before it gets printed and make changes?
A: Absolutely! Once I have the design completed, you will receive an email with log-in details to flip through the virtual album. There is an area for comments if you would like any changes made.

Q: How long does it take to get our album?
A: Once my client approves the design I send it to the lab for printing. It usually takes 2-4 weeks for me to receive the completed album.
