The day started at Dunboyne castle hotel with the preparations of the bride, Leeanne. It is a lovely building with a mix of modern and old school interiors. The grounds are large with a nice gazebo for photo shoots.
Suzanne from Powder room girls had already finished up making the girls beautiful when we arrived. Shooting the details I tried something a little different that I hadn’t tried before, creating an endless backdrop to the flowers and shoes using a large wall mirror. This worked really well I thought.
The mood was great even though the weather was a little less forgiving today. Once I had all the shots I needed it was time to head over to the church to catch up with the lads.
I had photographed a wedding earlier this year in the church in Walkinstown. The stained glass interior is an amazing backdrop to the ceremony and makes for really vibrant colourful photos.
After the ceremony, it was time to head back to the hotel, at this stage the rain had properly set in and a chance of getting outdoors was going to be non-existent.
We photographed all the groups inside in the lovely stairwell in the old part of the building, which had lovely large windows letting in maximum light needed.
I managed to convince the couple to run out for 5 minutes to the gazebo for a few shots, which they are grateful for when they saw the photos, seriously beautiful!!
The dinner was called and time for hungry guests to settle in for the evening. We set about putting together the slideshow from photos during the day to play just after the speeches. This always goes down a treat with everyone as it shows the magic we do during the day. (See slideshow video below)
The dancing kicked off with the Bentley Boys getting the newlyweds up first and then every single guest onto the dance floor. Seriously good band if you ask me. Great mix of tunes!!
After a few dances, it was time for us to wrap up and make our way home.
