Another Tulfarris Hotel wedding that I worked together with Paul from Crystal Clear video with our combo package.
Our day started nice and local at Susan’s family home, which was a photographers dream to work in. There were so much care and attention taken to create a lovely ambience in the house, with many places to get some lovely photos.
Everyone was in great spirits on the day, with Bride, bridesmaids and mum beaming throughout the morning.
We got some candid shots of everyone getting ready and preparing to leave for the ceremony.
The St Joseph’s church was set in a lovely little village called Valleymount in Wicklow. With some lovely side lighting in the church, I decided I would shoot the wedding without flash, which also allowed me to move around unobtrusively. Using the natural light available to me.
We moved on to the lake shore for a short photo session with the bridal party before heading on to Tulfarris Hotel just past Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
We’d photographed there a few times before, however, the rain on the day was ever looming, so we had to scout out some alternative locations just in case. Derek the manager organized a golf buggy for us to take the couple around in, which was great fun!
We moved back to the main reception room after the photo session for the couple to enjoy the rest of their evening.
The speeches had everyone in stitches and tears, with some great laughs and a few touching moments during the father of the bride’s speech. Best man delivered what was probably one of the funniest speeches this year.
Our evening ended after the first five dances of the evening, capturing a lovely moment during the first dance where the bride’s father sang with the band for their first song.
