Mount Wolseley Hotel Wedding Story
Preparations
It’s been rare up until now that I photograph such a lovely venue as Mount Wolseley 2 weeks in a row, this wedding was the first of 2.
My day started in a very rainy Dublin, but that didn’t dampen spirits at Pamela’s home where the girls were readying themselves with the help of Sandra & Leslie from Powder room girls.
Video on the day came courtesy of Cathal Farrelly Video, who was unobtrusive and helpful during the detail shots.
I stayed until Pamela was ready in her dress before heading over to the Sacred Heart church in Donnybrook.
Ceremony
The church is spectacular inside giving me loads of angles to shoot from.
The lads were ready waiting to greet the guests as they arrived. Not a bit of nerve showing made a very relaxed atmosphere before Pamela’s big arrival.
The ceremony was lovely with outstanding music provided by Olivia Luc & Choir. I have to say, having front row seat to a performance like that is something that makes my job extremely enjoyable.
Once vow were exchanged and documents signed, I grabbed a quick group shot of the congregation before making my way to the hotel.
Reception
Since it was raining pretty heavy by the time I got there, I decided to check the venue for locations before the bridal party arrived.
There were a few locations within the hotel that were ideal. Once everyone arrived we decided to get all the family shots and groups out the way so that they could go and enjoy a drink or 2.
We moved around the hotel finding interesting locations to photograph the couple in.
I think in the end we used a few of the hotel’s finest spots to get some really interesting photographs.
