Another wedding at Tulfarris Hotel Wedding for Holst Photography & Crystal clear video productions.
Wedding preparations
Our morning started with the bride, Maryellen looking very relaxed at her prep room while her bridesmaids and her son were getting the final touches of makeup done.
We got on with the task of photographing details first so they’re out the way and can be used for getting ready. The rooms at Tulfarris Hotel are well decorated and light and airy with a view overlooking the golf course, sometimes my job really rocks!!!
Once the bridesmaids were ready to help Maryellen into her dress, got ourselves into position and captured some lovely moments between them all. Mum joined in and it looked as if there were some tears of joy.
The final touch was putting on the veil, I love the effect the small sliver of light entering the room gave when I photographed this, I think the images take on a real ethereal quality with the strong contrast between the white and the blacks in the image. It was time to make our way to the groom and his groomsmen at the church.
Church arrival
We have a few minutes to play with before the bride arrived, so got the shots we needed and made our way out to meet the girls arriving. When I got in to get some shots of father and bride, you could see they were both beaming and couldn’t wait to get inside to begin the ceremony. A lovely moment to capture!
Ceremony
Inside the procession was led by the 2 little flowers girls who were absolutely precious in the little white dresses.
The ceremony was kept fairly short, around just over an hour which is nice as most couples want to get on with their day and greet their guests.
Reception
At the hotel, Derek the events manager was ready with champagne in hand to greet the newlyweds and lead them to their arrival party.
We gave them a few minutes to wet the whistle and relax before taking them for their photo shoot. The weather was lovely, even if it was a little cloudy in the beginning, there was no wind, in Ireland as crazy as it sounds!! Starting with the bridal party shots…
Moving on to their private session…
Family photo shoot….
and then finally some shots of the details around the reception hall….
Last but not least the cake cutting before finishing up for the day and leave them to enjoy the rest of the evening with friends and family.
