Killaloe Wedding Story
Preparations
The day started out in Mountshannon with the bride’s family over from South Africa For V & D’s Killaloe Wedding Lakeside Hotel. It was great to be amongst my fellow homeland :)
Everyone was in great form and excited to be over in this part of the world, even if the weather was a little less desirable. The atmosphere while getting ready was casual and calm.
The dress looked amazing with loads of fine lace details giving me the lovely textures I need for my details shots. Everyone pitched in during preparations, making for lively atmosphere even when things went wrong with the dress, stitching sorted it out quickly.
Ceremony
We headed to the Groom’s hometown for the ceremony, where the church was a fairly modern looking church.
The ceremony was straight forward with rings and vows exchanged, the newlyweds made their exit to greet their guests.
Reception
With a stop planned on the way by the lake, we had to abort due to the weather, we headed straight to the Lakeside Hotel in Killaloe which overlooked the Shannon river. The photo shoot went great, everyone played their parts in adding to the laughs which made my job super easy. Groups and family shots out the way we got a few of the bride and groom before heading back inside for snacks and drinks.
The bride got a chance to pour her first Guinness, but I don’t think she liked the taste much.
I mingled with some guests during the dinner, many friends and family were involved in Paralympics Ireland, so made for some interesting conversation.
I stayed until the first dance catching some shots of guests and little one playing around.
Which ones are your favourites?
