Q: How long have you been working as a wedding photographer in Ireland? A: I started to photograph weddings in 2007 for friends and colleagues. I worked as a portrait photographer at the time for one of Ireland’s largest Portrait studios.
Q: What is your photography style? A: I use a photojournalism approach to capture the wedding day naturally as it happens. During the Couple’s session I get them to interact and chat while I capture photos from a distance. Have a look at examples of my style in the Wedding Photography Gallery. Or in the Love Stories section.
Q: How long is the photo session? A: I try to keep that to a minimum so couples can enjoy their day with little fuss
Q: We found some photos I’d like to recreate for our wedding photos, can we do this? A: Absolutely!! Send the samples ahead of the big day, so I can work on getting it photographed on the day.
Q: I am having a winter wedding, or it’ll be dark – is this a problem? A: I have worked in many locations that have been dark. I can usually light the interior with flash which gives me great results. Some churches prohibit flash, however my equipment is capable of shooting in much lower light conditions so that’s not an issue.
Q: Do you cover destination weddings? Are there any additional fees? A: Absolutely!! I have covered weddings all over Ireland and destination weddings in France, South Africa, Netherlands, Spain, Poland and the UK to name a few. I try to keep the travel and accommodation costs down to a minimum.
