GS1 – Multi-day Event Photography

I was booked for Multi-day Event Photography for GS1, the company responsible for industry-standard in barcoding. The event ran over a number of days in the Clayton Hotel in Ballsbridge which is an impressive building in itself. I had been there for a wedding a while back and got to see a different side to it.

It was a busy event with members of the GS1 family coming from all over the world to gather and learn about the new offerings and updates to the company.

Motivational talks from many guest speakers came to give insights and wisdom, one of them being the enigmatic, Olympic gold medalist, Kriss Akabusi. He gave a passionate, animated talk, reflecting back on his athletic days and the mindset needed to get the goals set out in the sport and in business. A great character to photograph giving me loads of classic moments I’m glad to have been there to witness.

At the end of the 3 days, dinner and social event was hosted at the Guinness Storehouse where guests could let their hair down and enjoy a good meal, and a few drinks. Entertainment during the evening was provided by The Hit Machine, a group of Celtic drummers that certainly know how to get a crowd pumped up.
