Clanard Court Hotel Wedding
The morning started off at Amanda’s family home where there was a calm buzz about the house with everyone getting ready. Amanda is one of those bride’s that just take everything in her stride and jokes to keep the mood calm and collected.
Ronan Quinn videography was there filming the details for the DVD when I got there. I started with the details while they were setup for video, before moving on to get the girls in action.
The light in the house was great so no need for flash. I experimented with a few new ideas by using some of the family as frames to the bride, as well as some slow shutter shots of her making her way down the stairs, viewed from behind. I liked this style, I had seen it in a magazine recently and had been wanting to try.
St Mathews church in Ballyfermot was just around the corner. I made my way to catch up with the lads to get a few shots of them greeting the guests and looking nervous as you do before your big moment. The stained glass windows added some colour splash to the interiors, which would match nicely with the bridesmaids dresses.
The reception venue was Clanard court hotel in Athy, Co.Kildare. A lovely venue set on the outskirts of the town but easily accessed from the main road.
With some green areas in the garden and around the grounds it offered some nice locations for the photos.
The guests mingled while we set to work to get a few photos of the bridal party and families before moving on to get the couple by themselves.
