Tulfarris Wedding Wicklow Story

Preparations

The preparations took place at Tulfarris Hotel on the morning of the wedding. With the rain bucketing down outside it did nothing to dampen the spirits inside where the girls were getting ready for the day ahead. The details were ready to be photographed, starting off with the wedding dress I decided to hang it up in the door frame which gave a lovely backlight showing off all the details of the dress. The shoes and flowers I like to use some art on the walls as a background this creates an interesting color combination.

Ceremony

The Ceremony took place at Cross Chapel church in Blessington. The rain made for speedy entrances into the church included some really fun scenes went with the bride’s arrival. The ceremony was beautiful, personal and heartfelt by the priest who was a close family friend. Once the vows and rings were exchanged, register signed, the couple decided that taking the family and group portraits would be best done in the church allowing them to enjoy the rest of the afternoon uninterrupted. We made a swift exit to the warmth of Manor House at Tulfarris resort.

Reception venue

The weather calmed down a bit and gave us the opportunity for a few outdoor shots. The couple had organized two heart shaped umbrellas which I thought would look lovely against the deep blue sky of the evening. I felt, given the time of year, the rest of the photo session would be best done inside the hotel where it was warm and cozy. We moved on to the spiral staircase and out towards the reception room. Outside on the deck, it was the perfect setting for the bridal party photos. The photos were done and left the couple with plenty of time to still mingle with the guests at the drinks reception.
