Civil Wedding Tinakilly Story

Civil Wedding Tinakilly

Preparations

The morning started at Tinakilly house in Wicklow. The grounds to this estate, set far from the main road, make it perfect for a private wedding party.

The weather luckily played along nicely, as the rest of the weekend was a washout.

Keith, the videographer was already working hard at getting all those important details for the DVD.

Ceremony

The room for the civil ceremony had changed since the last time I photographed here a testament to the new owners strive to make this one of the stand-out venues in Wicklow. There is now a permanent marquee on the grounds where a lovely panoramic view of the grounds and sea view can be taken in.

The dress that Ann chose for her wedding day looked amazing. The texture and deep champagne colour really showed up well in the photos. I decided to use some side lighting in the room to really show off those beautiful textures giving it a real classic look.

Barry and his best man look dapper in their suits, keeping it relaxed with banter flowing. Once they were ready we headed out to get a few groom photos with the other love of his life, his Mustang!! What a beauty! Didn’t get to take it for a spin…..yet :)

The girls were ready to make their way to the ceremony room where the “nervous” groom was already waiting for it all to kick off.

Reception

It was a short exit to the drinks reception after the ceremony where guests were treated to the choir doing renditions of modern classics.

I made my way to photograph some of the details in the marquee, tables, setup etc before moving on to get some shots of the cake and inviting the newlyweds in for a few photos with their cake.

The dinner kicked off with a bang, quite literally when the couple entered and the confetti gun burst into action, firing a million confetti flakes around them – much to the delight of nearby kids.

The evening was filled with top notch entertainment. The Opera singing waiters were a huge hit. At first disguised as waiters tending to the guests and suddenly bursting into song. Wow and what voices, it blew everyone away and even got a few guests a little hot under the collar :)

With all the excitement and meals finished the dancing kicked off and called an end to my day. Enjoy some of the pics in slideshow form bellow and don’t forget to leave a comment below.

Bye for now
