My day started at Tanya’s house near to Blessington in Co. Wicklow. The house had some great light in the room where she got ready and made for some lovely contemporary images.
With all the detail wedding photographs out of the way, the bride and her bridesmaids could get ready for the big day.
Everyone was a little nervous, so I took the photos I needed to give the family some space to just be together and get themselves ready for leaving.
I headed to the church to meet Derek the groom and get a few shots with him and the lads before the ceremony kicked off.
All the guests were waiting patiently for the bride to arrive. Luckily it was a scorcher so waiting outside in the sunshine was exactly what everyone needed.
The ceremony took place in the Parish of Ardclough in Kill. The church was well lit and made for flash-free photography.
Vows and rings exchanged the couple made their way out as newlyweds to greet their friends and families.
Afterwards, we did a short session with the couple. Behind the church was a row of Cherry orchards, which made for spectacular photos for them, especially being in full bloom!
We made our way around the grounds, once we had enough photos in the bag, it was time to head off to the reception.
The reception venue was in the Springfield hotel in Leixlip. My style changes to reportage while guests and couple chat at the drinks reception. Upstairs is an old piano which made for another nice location in the venue, along with some of the hallways and bar.
Below are some of my favourites from the day. Which ones are yours?
