The wedding took place on another one of those glorious Irish summer days. The ceremony and reception were in the City North Hotel in Gormanstown, Meath.
I started up in the bridal suite with Paula (the bride) and her family. I grabbed a few shots of the details shots of shoes, flowers, dress and jewels. Once these were out the way, Paula could start getting ready to make her way down to the ceremony room.
Although nerves were kept calm during the preparations, once we headed down to the ceremony room, a sudden flood of emotions hit Paula. With a few tears shed and makeup retouches, she was ready to go again. Gary was already waiting in the room greeting guests as they arrived, with the lads as support.
The ceremony itself was kept short, with a few well-chosen words by the registrar. The couple exchanged vows, lit the candles and made their way out to greet their guests and off to enjoy themselves again in the blazing sunshine. I took a few spontaneous photos of the friends and family mingling and then we headed off to do a few personal photos of the couple before covering the formal family portraits and cake cutting.
