My day started with the lads getting ready at Johnstown House. With a lot of banter bandying about the room, I was in no doubt this was going to be a great day.
I usually don’t take photos of lads getting ready as it’s usually just the bride, but with everything happening on the grounds, why not?
After getting a few shots, I headed over to the girls and few doors down. The girls helped Sadhbh get ready upstairs where it was a lovely setting near the window for the photos given the light on the day.
After getting shots, I needed for details etc I headed over to the ceremony room to get photographs of guests arriving. The civil ceremony was short and sweet, but with a lot of meaning. With all the vows and rings exchanged the newlyweds made their way out to the exit, where guests congratulated them.
Afterwards, the drinks reception was an ideal setting to get some spontaneous photos of guests mingling. I chose a high viewpoint to get a birdseye view of all the guests, which gives a slightly different perspective of the event.
I took the couple off for photos with the families, bridal party and then a few of just themselves. The leisure centre made an ideal location with white walls and a nice clean look, which I find works well with bridal parties.
The bridal suite made for a lovely setting as did the library in the house. Once dinner call sounded I left the couple to enjoy the rest of the evening.
