Clarion Hotel Wedding Story

The Clarion Hotel Wedding started at Kathleen’s family home where everyone was in great spirits and a bustle getting ready. I got a few details photos and snaps of friends and family before heading over to the church to catch up with Wayne and the lads. I had just enough time to get some shots of the lads before Bridesmaids and Kathleen arrived.

The ceremony was lovely with music provided by the amazingly talented Doug Sheridan on vocals and acoustic guitar, seriously sounded like a CD!

The church was very low lit, but I still prefer not to use flash during ceremonies, instead of capturing the beautiful candle light for ambience.

Afterwards, we headed over to Malahide castle for the bridal party shoot. There are variety options when photographing at the castle by moving around the grounds. On the side, there is a great stone wall tower with steps leading up, which made for nice group shots, by converting them to black & white it really transforms the time period.

The weather held off perfectly to catch a few shots of everyone with the castle in the background before heading off to Clayton Hotel just before the rain lashed down.

We set up for the cake cutting, to get those details out the way first, so we could move on to getting some spontaneous photographs. The speeches before the meal, set up the evening for some good humour. It amazes me how stressed Wayne was about his speech during the day, but he really had the guests rolling in the aisles with it.

After a lovely dinner, the band East Coast treated the guest to the first dance and got the party started. I headed home after 4 dances.
